Varaždinske Toplice - Health Resort
Varaždinske Toplice, in Hrvatsko Zagorje, is situated near the small River Bednja and surrounded by undulating hills with rolling meadows, vineyards, orchards and forest.
The town grew up around the warm spring here, which gave it its name. Ever since Roman times (when it was called Aquae Iasae) it has been a spa for the elite and today has something of a "riviera" feel to it.

VaraždinskeToplice, the oldest thermal spa in Croatia, is still in use after 400 years and retains much of the original Roman complex.

The water springs from almost 1,800 metres below and surfaces at a temperature of 58 degrees; as it has done for 20,000 years.
