County Palace
County Palace
The County Palace was erected in 1772. The work was headed by Jacob Erber, Varaždin's leading builder. After the fire in 1776, the building's late Baroque pediment was replaced by a Neoclassic triangular one.

The Hercer palace was built in 1791, after a disastrous fire. On the palace gateway, there is the coat-of-arms of the Hercer family.
Today,entomological museum, which is a part of the Varaždin City museum, is located in the palace.
